I had a bad eperience with ebay recently when buying a 'genuine' Roman
Intaglio. What I actually seem to have is a modern copy, very new and
very pretty. I am coming to collecting through my interests in greek
myth and history and would very much like to purchase and collect
intaglios. It seems to me that ebay is not the place to start as so
much their seems on the fake side? Can anyone reccomend a good starting
point for intaglios or even a book on the subject.P.S. If I am allowed
then I will name the seller who provided me with the fake intaglios but
as I am new here I will need to know if that is within the rules.
All the best,
Kit
