[Ancientartifacts] Re: storage in plastic drawers

Hi Craig,

My initial thought for you regarding storage is that you might do
better to try to find a wooden cabinet, or a cabinet with glass and
wood. You see numismatic cabinets offered from time to time at
auction, but I'm not sure where to specifically send you for what I
have in my mind's eye for artifacts - I've seen examples however in
older collections that can be fabulous pieces of furniture. Most were
custome made though, but are worth the effort, if you're willing to
put the effort into it, both financially and timewise.

Plastics I also understand can react to artifacts in some cases - I
wouldn't however be able to comment on lamps too much - I don't have
many and all of the examples I have are bronze, so it wouldn't do you
much good, particularly if you have clay examples.

I too would be interested in hearing more - other antidotes and the
like...

With regards,

plastic stack that advertises that it is safe for the storage of
photographs. I have been told that plastic is not good for long-term
storage of coins, and I would like to know if this is true for
objects such as lamps. Any advice will be appreciated.
