Re: [Ancientartifacts] egsources on ebay ?????

Hello and welcome to the group!

The simple answer to your question is YES!  This seller sells nothing but tourist souvenirs masquerading as antiquities.  eBay is not a good place for people new to collecting - of the purported Egyptian antiquities for sale there, probably 95% are fake, it is one of the worst categories.

In the first instance you would do well to go to museums and read some books before starting a collection. www.trocadero.com is certainly better than eBay for the likelihood of buying authentic artefacts, though dealers can still make mistakes and the odd fraud can slip through the net.

If you stick around here a while you will find out a lot about who are reliable sellers and who are not, though not all good dealers are necessarily members and not all dealer members are necessarily good dealers, it is an open group after all!

I am a toatal newbie to the world of buying ancient artifacts. I have
found this seller on Ebay and would like a learned opinion on his
items. Is this seller a total fake?
