Re: [Ancientartifacts] Re: egsources on ebay ?????

A clue is the fact that he is registered in, and his items are located in Egypt.  Export of antiquities from Egypt is illegal and punishable by life imprisonment.  Another clue is the bulk lots of very similar items.  Most antiquities (except shabtis) are not found in bulk lots!  And the Kiss of Death is that he says (in small lettering at the end of the descriptions) "Dating used as suggested guideline ".  This is against eBay rules on "authenticity disclaimers" - and would certainly NOT stand up in a court of law as an excuse for selling a fake, but the phrase and other similarly worded nonsense is often found on the auction pages of the most egregious fake sellers.
