RE: [Ancientartifacts] SALT SALT SALT

Agreed, not above the central heating please! Just take it out and let i dry on a towel or toilet paper, make sure not to hit anyuthing with it as the  faience core is soaking wet and could be less strong then when dry.

just let it dry in a normal environment on house temperature, the exterior will dry very fast but it will take perhaps a week or two to dry the interior of the shabti.

So, about a year ago I posted a message with a similar subject heading about a shabti that had begun to go a powdery layer of salt on it. On the the advise of several of the group members here I have been soaking it in a bath of distilled water, which I change every three days or so. I have been doing this for almost a year now and am wondering what is the best way to start drying it out without harming it. I would appreciate any advise from you shabti lovers out there.
Best Wishes
