Subject: RE: [Ancientartifacts] SALT SALT SALT
just let it dry in a normal environment on house temperature, the exterior will dry very fast but it will take perhaps a week or two to dry the interior of the shabti.carpe diemdik----- Oorspronkelijk bericht -----Van: Peter ShipmanOntvangen: maandag 14 april 2008 21:53Onderwerp: [Ancientartifacts] SALT SALT SALT
So, about a year ago I posted a message with a similar subject heading about a shabti that had begun to go a powdery layer of salt on it. On the the advise of several of the group members here I have been soaking it in a bath of distilled water, which I change every three days or so. I have been doing this for almost a year now and am wondering what is the best way to start drying it out without harming it. I would appreciate any advise from you shabti lovers out there.Best Wishes-Peter Shipman
