if the plastic is an inert type like polypropylene, it
would be ok. i have read that some plastics will
break down over time and outgas acidic gases. don't
know if it would be acceptable to have an acidic
environment with lamps, because i don't collect lamps.
you can check out www.archivalmethods.com, which has
different types of storage boxes which are acidic
free.
