There is no way of knowing whether this seller is telling the truth or not concerning his being  an American soldier. If he is bold enough to traffic in illegal antiquities there is no reason to believe anything else he says. This auction reads 'stupid' all the way around.
At any rate this auction should not only be reported to eBay but to the FBI to investigate if the brick
is real or not and if the seller did in fact deface an ancient monument and that he once belong to the US military.
This could just as easily be a hoax but should be investigated.
