[Ancientartifacts] Re: Bron

Hello Robert,

I'm afraid that we on this group are so much used to "mens rea" in
the matter of sellers of fakes on eBay that we do not regularly
contact such sellers as we used to.
We generally only received abuse in response to reasonably polite
interventions anyway.

That said, I personally feel we should ensure that we contact new
sellers before they get put on a blacklist.

Again, personally, I have not thought that you were intentionally
deceiving anyone.
More to the point, you have been deceived!

About the pieces you mention in this message:

The wooden Egyptian piece is not Old Kingdom, it's possibly Middle
Kingdom.
It's not likely to be a boat figure either. In fact I'd say
categorically that it's not.
Despite the wood looking reasonably ancient it is a dubious piece for
many reasons.
I have seen more fake Egyptian wooden figures on the market than
pieces I thought genuine!

The "Geometric Bull" I also thought dubious.
It's possible, but…………
Would need to examine it in hand.
The pics are not adequate to adjudge.

The urn needs close inspection.
I doubt it very much.

The seals are not ancient.
I don't care where they came from: they are not ancient.

Have a look at this fairly new information forum.
http://www.ancientartifakes.net

You may find it useful.

In closing, I would like to reiterate that I have not thought you
trying to deceive, but more so deceived yourself!

Cheers,

Bron.
