Re: [Ancientartifacts] Authenticity of Sadigh Gallery items

Thank you you saved me a lot of money.

Hi Art,
Some of the cheap faience beads and amulets that Sadigh used to sell were probably authentic, but everything else is factory made.  At least the gallery gives novice collectors a look at obvious fakes on the market.  By the way, the FBI has been on to him for a while.  I recently saw an article in a Dutch newspaper discussing how Michel van Rijn (the owner of Sadigh Gallery) was arrested in Amsterdam for trying to fraud European museums by selling them fakes.  I really don't know how he is still able to sell his items anymore, but many are still circulating on ebay from numerous crooks.  Good Luck in your collecting, Mike Buras (Artifact Man Ancient Coins)

Is it true that "everything" from the Sadigh Art Gallery is fake? Isn't even one thing authentic? The FBI or someone should prosecute them if they're running that much of a racket. Even I bought a couple things from them but I suppose that even if they are fake I can treasure them as reproductions I suppose. Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who knows for sure.
Regards,
Art Clemente
