I agree with David and Kim, I have been thinking about withdrawing from the group for the last several days. It is apparent that Mr Barford  will not negotiate. He is for unconditional surrender, not reasonable discourse.

 

I am going to delete these letters unread from this time foreward. This is not what this group is supposed to be doing.

Kim is right and, I  believe she speaks for many of our members. This flame war has gone far enough. We have been down this road before, it will not get any better only worse, and it is already bad enough. There is no way to resolve it as there is little or no common ground between the parties involved. It  does not even belong here, as this is not a forum for discussion of collectors "ethics "what ever the merits of either side in the discussion. Those who feel strongly about it might consider starting a new  group.  However there are already a number of other venues blogs etc. for such discussions, as the people involved well know.  Can you end it before people start to leave the group in disgust again.
