of 'Chinese neolithic pottery' vessels from someone I see is on the bad
list - milleniumantiques1. Could I ask to what extent his stuff was
false - all of it? I can try to put up pictures of the items (though
this machine and I don't always agree on how to do most things). I
suspect this is yet another silly question from a novice - but any help
gratefully received.
Peter
PS talking of lists. We were in Jordan for a few weeks this Spring and
saw (even in cafes by the side of the road) many commonly recurring
ebay items - think Bronze Age milk jugs and the like - that were openly
being sold as fakes. I guess many such an item (not necessarily
deliberately mis-sold) is sitting comfortably in many a display
cabinet. Apologies for bearing bad news. Mind, if you want a real good
laugh try looking at the coins etc being sold in Petra and the prices
being asked for them (Petra was wonderful, but the stuff on sale was -
well I suspect members of this forum already know!).
