I've just read the many letters submitted since my post of the auction
a few days back and offer the following comments. I always make every
effort to only include genuine items into our ancient art auctions.
However being human mistakes can and do happen. I encourage you to
write to me directly with any questions and or discrepancies regarding
items in the auction.
The 2 Cylcladic stone figures were ok'd by a prominent NYC dealer. I
will pull these 2 pieces from the sale if need be. I will also remove
any other items that are not as described. The last thing I want to
have happen is to sell a bad item. We have been doing these auctions
since the early 70's and our excellent reputation if extremely
important to maintain.
