The Sultani Museum in the city of Herat in Afghanistan has been robbed of 50
million dollars worth of ancient jewelry and artifacts.
"The thieves have stolen some 637 pieces," said museum owner, Ahmad Shah
Sultani. He asked the Afghan government and local authorities to help
identify the culprits and return the museum's property.
Initial investigations revealed that thieves might have had help from inside
the museum...two of the Sultani Museum's staff have been charged in
connection with the case.
