[AAEH] Quick easy question about antique storage

My grandparents once owned their own fine furniture factory in
Madison, Indiana called Inverness Shops. One of the items that came
out of that shop is a 4 foot diameter sun mirror. Beautifully carved
wood, painted in gold leaf, and a convex mirror in the center. I am
very grateful it was passed down to me.

Anyway, I currently have it in storage. Has been there for about 2
months now. I trucked it cross-country wrapped in green-tinted mover's
plastic wrap. My question is, should I leave it in that plastic wrap?
Will it destroy the gold leaf eventually? Will the green color tint
the gold leaf? If the plastic wrap is a bad idea, how exactly should I
store it?

Thanks!

Bruce
