Re: [Ancientartifacts] Re: peru

Hi Tim. Great post. I didn't know there was no time limit on follow -ups.
Thanks,
Glenn

Hi Mike

Indeed, you cannot retract your positive feedback, but you CAN leave a follow-up comment correcting it...

There is no time limit on this - so anyone who has ever left undeserved positive feedback for a faker on eBay should make use of the above link!

Subject: [Ancientartifacts] Re: peru

I would like to comment on items for sale by Perularedo. I have
purchased two of his ebay items and they were both fakes. One I
caught in time and returned for a refund. I didn't know the other
was fake until I put it in water and the black paint came off where
the molded head had been added to the body of the vessel. I then
examined it under a microscope and it was abundantly clear it was
modern. Jorge Lanas's feedback comes mostly from the metal racks he
sold and not from the precolumbian items. I do know that I wish I
could retract the positive feedback that I gave him. In the months
before his arrest, it was very sad to see people bidding on his items
and not being able to warn them because of ebays new policies. These
people lost tens of thousands of dollars. These things I say are all
true and are documented, but I do not know if his actions are because
he is a crook or just an ignorant reseller. In either case he
belongs in the Hall of Shame for fake sellers.
