Good afternoon
I hate to post for that, but I think that Mr. Barford at least seems to have some empathy for collectors.
I dislike abusive language, and Mr. Barford usually is polite.
If we toghether could talk, perhaps many missunderstandings will be arranged.
Personally I think that if we all could meet in person, we all will agree.
Think, provenance would be a great thing: no fakes, anymore.
In minerals, a piece without exact provenace worths nothing.
Tim is a very tolerant moderator. We should not blame him, we should thank him !!!!!!
With best wishes

Hi,I agree with David and Kim, I have been thinking about withdrawing from the group for the last several days. It is apparent that Mr Barford will not negotiate. He is for unconditional surrender, not reasonable discourse.I am going to delete these letters unread from this time foreward. This is not what this group is supposed to be doing.Ealr Keefer

We have been down this road before, it will not get any better only worse, and it is already bad enough. There is no way to resolve it as there is little or no common ground between the parties involved. It does not even belong here, as this is not a forum for discussion of collectors "ethics "what ever the merits of either side in the discussion. Those who feel strongly about it might consider starting a new group. However there are already a number of other venues blogs etc. for such discussions, as the people involved well know. Can you end it before people start to leave the group in disgust again.Best regards to all,David

Hi Tim,
I think you need to start Moderating these people or get them off this list, I think I
speak for those people who want to learn and be taught. I really think this needs to be
done. If you can't do the job of Moderating this list, then find someone who can.
