The two Cycladic stone idols in the 6-22-08 auction have been re-
attributed and are being sold as Cycladic "type" idols with no dates
give and noted that they are most likely antique.

before the Greeks", p44 "....and marble idols were brought to Crete
from the islands. These idols, much admired in modern times and duly
imitated for the benefit of collectors.....".
